GPA To A-Level Converter (A*–U)
Use our GPA to A-Level converter to estimate an equivalent UK A-Level grade (A* to U). Enter your GPA and its maximum scale (like 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, or 10.0), and we’ll normalize it to a percentage, then map it to an A-Level grade using adjustable thresholds.
How the GPA To A-Level conversion works
This calculator uses a simple normalization approach. First, your GPA is converted into a normalized percentage:
Normalized % = (GPA ÷ GPA scale) × 100
Then the percentage is mapped to a UK A-Level grade (A*–U) based on thresholds (default values are shown below). Because exam boards can vary by session, this is an estimate and always confirm official requirements.
Example
If you have 3.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale, the normalized percentage is 90%. With common thresholds, that often maps to an A* range.
Default A-Level thresholds (editable)
You can adjust these cut-offs in the tool to match your school, board, or admissions guidance.
