Why We Built This

The idea started during finals week. A student needed to know exactly what score was required on a final exam to maintain a B+ in a course. The syllabus said the final was worth 30%, the current grade was 87%, and the target was 88%. That’s a solvable math problem, but doing it by hand at midnight while stressed about three other exams wasn’t realistic.

Online grade calculators existed, but most were:

  • Locked behind sign-up walls
  • Limited to single calculations without showing methodology
  • Missing critical features like weighted categories or GPA tracking
